The Art of Laura M. Webb
Fanciful Whimsy, Evocative Landscapes, Unique Portraits
Laura M. Webb is a graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina where she studied art history and French. She has been painting since she was five years old when her great-aunt gave Laura her first art lesson. Her early paintings were shown at several gallery shows in Key West, Florida. Upon graduation from Key West High School she received every art scholarship offered by the community. Although she decided to focus on the history of art in her college studies, she continued to work and hone her personal style.
Laura was born into a military family and so had the opportunity of living in many different places around the country and the world. She has lived in Maine, North Carolina, Bermuda, France, and several cities in Florida. She grew accustomed to the regular moves from place to place and learned to anticipate the unknown changes each move would bring. She still finds herself drawn to possibilities in life and in art. |
